8 Single-word Reasons Why You Should Use Squarespace

You lead a busy life. You wear many hats. A few of these hats may be a parenting hat, pastor hat, counselor hat, friend hat, photographer hat, and videographer hat. I’m sure there a few I’m leaving out. You do not have time to wear a web design hat, but you understand that most people will visit your church’s website before they visit your church. You value having a great site, but you do not have the capacity or the volunteer base to create it. If you can relate to this, then I am going to recommend the perfect solution for you.

1. Simple.

Squarespace is so simple to use that my cat could build a site on it. Okay. I’m kidding. Cats do not build websites. They create memes, and I don’t own a cat. However, you get my point. I believe that someone with little to no web design experience could create a great website with Squarespace, and if you are a designer, artist, or have a little bit of creativity in you, then the possibilities are countless.

2. Responsive.

With a Squarespace site your church has no need for a custom app. Your site is fully-responsive making for an awesome experience for any user including those accessing your site on a mobile device.

3. Familiar.

Squarespace allows you to design with features that are familiar to you. Many of the Squarespace design elements include drag and drop features. You can also copy and paste URLs to reveal and play your own YouTube and Vimeo content.

4. Unlimited.

Your Squarespace site comes with unlimited bandwidth. This means you have plenty of bandwidth to transfer the amazing content you will create and share through your site with users. Create unlimited pages, blogs, and galleries without any worry of bandwidth.

5. Integrated

Email Marketing integrations. Squarespace integrates very well with one my other favorite companies, MailChimp. Build your email list and reach more people with news about what’s happening at your church, around your community, or targeted invites to take a next step.

6. Relevant.

You never have to worry about out of date plugins creating a hassle for you and your users. Squarespace works very hard to keep their customers relevant with the latest web design features that work to provide you and your users with a great experience.

7. Secure.

You can have peace of mind with Squarespace. Every site creates a SSL certificate to keep your site secure. Check out the lock in the browser next to my domain.

8. Affordable.

You cannot beat the price! Plans begin at just $12 per month when you purchase annually. Annual plans also include a free domain. For just a few dollars a month more you can have so much more. Check out their current pricing for all their plan options. This means your church can have a beautiful website for $144/year (not including your domain).

I’m not saying to choose Squarespace over other options, but it is hard to beat the benefits that Squarespace can offer. You can taylor your site experience to your community with ease and without messy updates. I’m not an affiliate of Squarespace, but I do love designing sites on Squarespace. I often recommend the platform for churches, nonprofits, and small businesses.

If you think a Squarespace site would be a good fit for you and your organization, but do not know where to begin, reach out and contact me. I would love to help!
